What other information is should be within the lien?

The basics of what should be included in the lien are: the owner of the project and the owner’s address listed in the notice of contract, the general contractor’s information and address listed within the notice of contract, the payment and performance bond information, a description of the property (full legal description if the lien is filed on a private project), the specific amount claimed, a description of work performed by the claimant, a request for interest, attorney fees, costs, and any applicable penalties which may apply. The lien should be an authentic act executed by a claimant or representative of the claimant with mandate under Louisiana law.
